The Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa wish to thank you most sincerely for your kind donations last weekend. A total of €1681 was contributed.

Exam Mass will take place in Murroe Church on Thursday 1st June at 7.30pm. All exam students, families and friends are invited to this Mass. A book is available in Church Hall’s where you can write the name and address of a Student doing 2nd or 3rd level exams.

Cappamore Historical Society: Dr. Mary Corcoran, Sociology Dept, NUI Maynooth will launch “Liam Ryan Selected Writings” in the Community Centre Cappamore on Friday May 26th at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to attend.

Sliabh Feilim Singers and guests are holding their annual summer concert on this Sunday 21st May at 7.30pm in Abington church, Murroe.  This year, proceeds are going to Fr John Sweeney’s mission in Argentina.  We hope you will be able to join us for our fun evening of song.  Admission €10

Down Syndrome Ireland wish to thank all who contributed to their recent collection. A total of €315 was raised.

Murroe Boher Community Games Athletics will take place on the Gamesfields at Glenstal Abbey on this Sunday 21st May at 6pm.

Boher Community Development Association 40K annual Charity Cycle will take place on Saturday 3 June at 7pm from Boher Community Centre. Registration from 6.15pm. This is a 40k cycle loop with various shortcut options.  Refreshments following the cycle.  Proceeds will go to Cliona’s Foundation in memory of Ciara McCarthy and The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, in memory of Rhona Kett Sheridan.

Killinure National School – on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Killinure N.S., a get together of past pupils will take place in Pa McGrath’s at 8.30pm on Saturday 10 June 2017, for a sociable chat and reminisce.  Contact Helena Hickey 086 3452931 or Brid Lynch 086 6025016.

Milford Hospice Memorial Walk: The Milford Hospice 5km Memorial Walk will take place on Sunday, May 28th at the University of Limerick with a start time of 12.00 noon. This event is suitable for those of all levels of fitness and ability and the Centre’s organisers are asking anyone who wishes to take part to register for the event as soon as possible. There will be no entry fee, but the organisers are encouraging people to seek sponsorship for the lunchtime walk or else make a donation. The walk will commence at the University of Limerick Sports Arena and will finish on the grounds of Milford Care Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to place a hand-written tribute on colourful ribbon that will adorn the special memorial tree on the grounds of Milford. A special Memorial Pin will also be presented to each participant. Refreshments will be available after this memorial occasion. It’s necessary for everyone to register for the event on www.eventmaster.ie alternatively registration and sponsorship cards can be arranged by contacting the Fundraising Department at 061 485859, between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday; by email to fundraising@milfordcarecentre.ie Your support is gratefully appreciated

Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Well done to Sophie Quaid, Orlaith Hickey and Sarah Jane Flynn who represented the East in the Neville Cup in the Gaelic Grounds. The Neville Cup teams are amalgamations of primary schools in each part of Limerick. The girls were defeated in the semi-final by a strong team from the South. Well done girls. Next Saturday (27th May) we will be holding our monthly clothes collection in Murroe Clubhouse from 7.30-8pm. All donations greatly appreciated
