Rosary will take place each Sunday evening during the month of May in Murroe Church at 7pm starting this Sunday, May 6th.

Jimmy Buckley Concert: Sincere thanks to all who helped make the Concert last Sunday night such a great success. Thanks to all the stewards, car park attendants, ticket sellers, committee members, etc. Special thanks to the ladies who catered for the band and the people who erected the stage and floral decorations.

Exam Mass will take place in Murroe Church on Friday 18th May at 7.00pm. All exam students, families and friends are invited to this Mass. A book is available in Church Hall’s where you can write the name and address of a Student doing 2nd or 3rd level exams.

Coffee Morning for Cancer Research held on 21st April at Madaboy, along with further generous donations, raised a total of €3,050.  A huge thank you to everyone who supported this very successful event; those who baked delicious treats, those who helped all morning to run the event and those who donated so generously and helped to make it a great party! Special thanks to Sinead Dineen and her Ukealadies for their lively entertainment.

Murroe Boher Twinning will have their annual Bake Sale on the 20th May …. Baking can be purchased after first Mass at the GAA Club across from the Church. We will have some gluten free items. We are most grateful for your support.

Boher Community Development Association will hold it’s annual parish fun day on Sunday 3rd June at 1.30pm at the GAA pitch Boher.  Activities kick off with the kids fancy dress competition followed by races and novelty races for kids and adults. Back by popular demand this year our Fittest Family Challenge where teams of 4 battle it out in a series of tasks to see who can complete the course in the best time!! Teams comprise of 2 adults and 2 kids up to 15yrs of age. Also new this year we are introducing our community picnic patch so why not bring along a picnic and relax and enjoy the events! All who participated last year thoroughly enjoyed themselves and hopefully even more people will join in the fun this year! Everyone most welcome

Murroe Darkness into Light will start at 4.15am at Muintir na Tíre Hall next Saturday morning, 12th May, at 4.15am.  We hope as many people from our local community as possible can join us.   We will not be taking donations on the night –you must register at www.pieta.ie, choosing Murroe as the venue.  We would appreciate if people could car pool where possible.  Please check the Murroe Darkness into Light Facebook page for further information.

Christmas Pilgrimage Group to the Holy Land 19th – 27th December 2018 Taking in Bethlehem, Jerusalem (Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Last Supper Room and Calvary), Mount Tabor, Cana, Nazareth, Jericho, River Jordan, Dead Sea and Sea of Galilee. Murroe-Boher Community Games: The Annual Athletics Sports Day will take place in Glenstal Gamesfields on Sunday 20th May. The first event will be at 6pm sharp.  We would encourage everyone to register online. Further details, including online registration, will be available on the MBCG website http://www.murroebohercg.com  Looking forward to a lovely evening in Glenstal.

Murroe Boher Bord na nOg, would like to congratulate three of our players who played with the East Limerick School team this week in the Mackey Cup. They were Rory Casey, Oisin Holmes and Darren Collopy.

Murroe Boher GAA Club are running a Golf Classic on the 10th/11th May in Ballykisteen Golf Club. If anyone is interested in playing or putting in a team, they can contact Rory on 086 31768224, or any member of the committee. A team of 3 players cost €120 or you can sponsor a Tee box for €50. This fundraiser is to complete our Ball Wall facility, due to be complete by June 01st.

Murroe/Boher Camogie Club Well done to both our intermediate and u16 teams who won their respective league semi-finals to qualify for the final next weekend. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for the upcoming fixtures for both games.
