Don’t forget to vote for Murroe Tidy Towns in the Going for Gold competition today!

You can support us by TEXTING ‘Gold Murroe’ to 53095

· Texts cost 20 cent.

· Only one text will be accepted from each number i.e. a person can only vote once using the same phone.

· Text names must be spelt correctly. If spelt incorrectly votes won’t count but a charge will apply.

· Voting starts after the interviews @ 12 midday and finishes at 12 midnight on the same day (12 hours voting). Do not vote before or after this time as votes won’t be counted but you will be charged.

· The week’s winner will be announced on Friday (the day after the interview). This group will be a finalist in the Going for Gold Grand Final.

Murroe 5K Race\Walk – NEWSFLASH-UPDATE

 

The  Murroe 5K Race/Walk has been rescheduled from Saturday  the 20th August to the 27th August due to a clash of fixtures

Race will start at the Muintir na Tíre hall at 11h00 on 27th August, finishing at the front gate of Glenstal Abbey.  Prizes will be presented in categories Senior Men / Women, Junior Men / Women (U19 on day), Men over 40, Men over 50, Women over 35, Women over 40.  In addition, all runners / walkers will be included in a spot prize draw.  Refreshments will be served in the hall after the race.

Registration will open at 9h00 in the hall.  We encourage participants to pre-register and get discounted entry by e-mailing Name and Category to 5krace@murroe.net.  2016 Entry Fees – pre-registration/registration on the day: Senior Men and Women – €8 / €10, Junior Men & Women (U19 – born since 27/8/2015) – €5 / €7,  Men O40/50 and Women O35/40 – €6 / €8, Family €10 /€12, Walkers, €5 / €7.
