This years Vintage Tractor Run will take place on the 16th September
with the tractors starting to arrive at 12pm in the car park in Croker’s.
The tractor run will then head to Killnoscully.
All funds this year will go to Down Syndrome Limerick.

Murroe Tidy Towns are looking for your support… Murroe Tidy Towns are taking part in the Limerick Going For Gold Competition 2018. This competition has a top prize of €10,000 and several runner up prizes. First part of this competition is an interview on Limerick Live 95 FM. Our representative will be interviewed on Thursday 16th August at 11 am. You can vote for Murroe by logging onto the Limerick going for gold option on the Live 95 FM website between 12 noon and 12 midnight on Thursday 16th August only. There is No Cost to vote. To celebrate the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, Europa Nostra and its President Maestro Plácido Domingo invited all citizens in Europe and beyond to contribute to the #Ode2Joy Challenge. Sliabh Feilim singers will undertake this challenge during their annual summer concert which will be held in Abington Church, Murroe, at 8pm on Friday 18th May. This year we especially welcome Mulcair Men’s Shed Choir who will entertain during the concert. We hope you will join us on the night. Admission €10, proceeds to go to Friends of Abington.
We are delighted to welcome everyone to Murroe for the Pieta House Darkness into Light walk at 4.15am on Saturday, 12th May. Please join us afterwards for refreshments at the hall. The Memory board will be outside the forge, and you are encouraged to add your own personal message.

Murroe Darkness into Light committee.

This will hang in Murroe hall on 12th May during this year’s walk.
The Murroe Darkness into Light committee are busy in the run up to the Pieta House walk on 12th May.
You must register before 4th May on www.pieta.ie to be guaranteed that your t-shirt will arrive on time.
This year, there will be no money collected on the night – you must register on line.
The walk starts at 4.15am at the Muintir na Tíre Hall in Murroe, goes past The Monument and the primary school, in the back gate of Glenstal, through the grounds to the village.
Before the walk starts, Glenstal School Choir will entertain the crowd, so if you are walking, plan to be there before 4am.
Refreshments will be provided at the hall directly after the walk.
We ask that participants car pool as much as possible. Stewards will be directing traffic, so please follow their instructions.
The road from the Five Roads-Glenstal Abbey-Muintir na Tíre hall will be closed from 3-5am, except for local traffic.
The route from the Monument to the back gate of Glenstal will be very restricted from 4.15-5am, with diversions in place.
Local information will be posted on the Murroe Darkness into Light facebook page as we get closer to the date – it is advisable to check this close to the event.
