Church Windows Fundraising: Jimmy Buckley will perform in concert in Murroe Church on Sunday 4th March 2018. Tickets cost €20 each and are currently available in Post Office and Local shops in Murroe, and O’Neill’s and Pa McGrath’s in Boher.

Darkness into Light 2018 in aid of Pieta House will be held 4am Saturday 12th May.  Following the success of last year’s walk, the event will be held in Murroe again this year.  Registration will open in early February.

Murroe/Boher Lourdes Committee are offering a place to a 5th year student to travel to Lourdes on this year’s pilgrimage as a youth helper, which takes place from 16th to 21st June. Anyone interested are asked to give their names to Liz Barron, Boher ASAP. Draw will take place after 11.30am Mass in Murroe on Sunday next 16th February.

Painting art classes resuming in Murroe hall on Thursday the 22nd Feb from 7-9pm.  No experience is needed. Absolute beginners are very welcome. 8 weeks. €15 Euro pay as you go weekly. Some materials and refreshments supplied, just please bring your own acrylic paints and brushes. Boher Parish Social will take place on Saturday 17 February, in the Millennium Centre, Caherconlish.  This social promises to be a very enjoyable night with music by Johnny Skehan, dancing and an auction of timber and a variety of surprise items held during the night to help raise funds for the upkeep of our Community Centre. Tickets cost €10. Donations of Spot prizes will be gratefully received by Committee members.

A Coffee Morning will be held in Boher Community Centre after 10am Mass on Sunday 4th March. The funds raised will be used to send a number of students and teachers from St. Clement’s College to Zambia to participate in volunteer work for two weeks in March. This work will involve building, farming and community projects for the poor. We are raising funds to provide equipment to help these communities. Please help this worthy cause.

Murroe Boher Bord na nOg are delighted to announce that we are playing our first competitive Hurling match versus Southside Gaels at 16.00pm on Sunday 11th February on the new Astro Turf facility in Murroe Wood Park.  This is our u14’s in a Feile competition, and all local support would be greatly appreciated. We are also delighted to announce that we have secured the services of Martin Fogarty (ex Kilkenny selector) for a coaching session at the ball wall in Newport (under lights) on Monday evening February 12th from 19.30 to 21.00. All interested parties are invited to attend.
