Boher Vintage Charity Run This Sunday 13 October at 12 noon, in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, in memory of Rory Tynan, RIP.  Cars leave Powers Pub, Abington at 12 noon.  Refreshments served on return.  All welcome

Murroe-Boher Historical Society – We are resuming our winter talks on Thursday, October 17th at 8.30 p.m. sharp at the Muintir na Tire Hall, Murroe with Dr. Matthew Potter, who will speak to us on the intriguing topic of “Queen Victoria and Limerick Ham.” Admission €5 to non-members. All welcome.

The Cappamore Historical Society will host a Lecture in the local Community Centre on Friday the 18th of October at 8pm. The lecture is entitled “Improving Policing and Community safety in Ireland.: the work of the O’Toole Commission.”  The lecture will be given by Sinead Ryan former Secretary to the independent Commission on the future of Policing in Ireland. There will be a charge of 5 euro to non-members, and Refreshments will be provided after the lecture.

Murroe Boher Camogie: Best of luck to our minor team who kick off their season against Tournafulla on Sunday morning at 10.30am in Boher. Our annual table quiz takes place next Friday (18th) at 8pm in the Valley Inn, Murroe. We hope to see a large crowd for what promises to be a great night

Murroe AFC Notes: Team news: On Sunday last The A team had a fine

4-0 win over Carew Park in the 2nd round of the Munster Junior Cup.

Fixtures: This coming weekend it’s the turn of the Youth (U18) team to take centre stage when they take on Aisling Annacotty in the league in Tubber on Sunday 13th at 2pm. The Men’s A, B, and C teams have no fixtures. Keep an eye on the club Facebook page and Twitter feeds for up to the minute fixtures and results!

Coach still needed for the U-9 Boys, (born 2011). If you’re interested in taking on a fun bunch of guys, maybe a parent or a past player who wants to help out, contact any committee member, or message on Facebook or Twitter, or email murroeafc@gmail.com The club will be able to help out with Training, Gear, etc, but need someone to volunteer.
