Murroe/Boher Lourdes Invalid Fund will hold their Church Gate collection next weekend, 2nd & 3rd March. Funds raised are used to send a local invalid to Lourdes

Cashel & Emly Lourdes Fundraising Draw: Tickets are now available and can be purchased locally from Liz Barron, Boher.

A Coffee Morning will be held in Boher Community Centre following 10am Mass on Sunday 3rd March. Money raised will go to the ASD unit at Killinure NS.

Murroe Marian Club will reopen on March 6th, 2019 at 7.30pm in the Fitzgerald Room, Muintir na Tíre Hall. New members welcome.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be holding a Blood Donor Clinic in the Community Centre, Caherconlish, on Monday 25th February. Time: 5pm – 8pm.

Adult Painting classes resuming in Murroe hall on Thursday the 7th of March from 7-9pm.  No experience is needed. beginners are very welcome. 8 weeks. €15 Euro pay as you go weekly.  Some materials and refreshments supplied, just please bring your own acrylic paints and brushes. Community Games: Best of luck to the Murroe/Boher U10 boys draughts team who have qualified for the county final and are competing this Sunday 24t Feb. The team consists of Luke O Brien, Cillian Holmes, Donagh Horgan, Jokubus Nankonis, Jack O Connor, Liam Brouder and Christian Bars

THE PINK NIGHT IS BACK!  The Annual Pink Night will take place on Saturday 16th March 2019 at Kennedys Lounge, Rearcross – Music with  the hilarious “DJ Wilm” –   All funds raised for Mid West Cancer Unit in University Hospital Limerick. A raffle will take place with lots of prizes including a Ladies County Jersey.  A great night’s entertainment for a good cause. Support greatly appreciated.  Everybody welcome!

Murroe AFC Notes: Team News: The A team or B team had no fixtures last weekend. The C team were at home to Fairview Rangers on Sunday and had a bad day at the office losing out by 5 goals to one. The Ladies team had their first day out of the season with the beginning of their “winter league” These fixtures are all to be played at Murroe Wood Park every Sunday afternoon for the next number of weeks, so come along and cheer the girls on! Last Sunday the Murroe Ladies beat Limerick Belles 3-1 and drew 0-0 with Regional Utd. This Sunday the Ladies face Ballylanders (2:30pm) & Cappamore (3:30pm). Meanwhile the Mens B team face Abbey Rovers away this Sunday at 11am, while the Mens C team face Lisnagry away at 11am.  Keep an eye on the Facebook page for fixtures and results.

Underage Coach appointed: Well done to Emma Byrnes the new coach of the U-8 boys team, (boys born in 2011), Best of luck for the season ahead!

Murroe AFC’s book “Murroe AFC The First 50 Years 1968-2018” is still available to purchase at Spar, and English’s. The book is a fabulous record of the story of the first 50 years of soccer in Murroe, and is available at a price of €15.
