Mass for all our parishioners who died during this past year will be celebrated on Friday evening November 30th in Murroe Church at 7.30pm.

St Vincent De Paul Church gate collection will be held in Murroe/Boher on 24th and 25 November at all Masses. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Coffee Morning will be held in Boher Community Centre following 10am Mass in Boher on Sunday next, 25th November. Funds collected will be used for the forthcoming Senior Citizens Party. Your support will be greatly appreciated

On behalf of Murroe National School the Parents Association would like to thank the parishioners of Murroe Boher for their generous donation to our recent church gate collection. Total raised €429.48

Ciara Beirne, from Abington, will present a short talk on the “Hope Foundation” an Irish charity that raises funds for the slum children of Kolkata in India. She will speak at all Masses in Murroe and Boher on the weekend of 24th/25th November. She will be travelling there next April with her school. This Church talk is to try and raise funds for this worthy cause. A collection will be taken up as people leave the Church. Your generosity will be gratefully received.

Doon Community Council: A play by Jim Keane “A living will”, will take place in Doon Community Centre on the 24th Nov. @ 8 pm, admission €10. Tickets available from all committee members or on the door on the night.

Date for your Diary: Sliabh Feilim Singers Annual Christmas concert will be held at 5pm on 2nd December in Abington Church, admission €10.  Given the homelessness crisis, this year we have decided to give proceeds to Focus Ireland.  We look forward to meeting you at our concert for an enjoyable evening of music and song.

Boher Community Development Association: Boher Christmas Market, Sunday 9th December, at 2pm.  Calling all craftspeople, artists, bakers, (young and not so young), and culinary experts.  Book a stall at Boher Community Centre by contacting Paudie Laffan 086 0785836 and show off/sell some of your creative delights.  There will be a small charge of €5 per stall.  Santa and Mrs Claus will also visit our refurbished Community Centre and children can call to see them in their new grotto.  Great afternoon promised!

Cappamore Christmas Fair: Bilboa National School will hold its annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 18th November at 2pm in the Community Centre, Cappamore. Our Christmas Fair has always proven to be a very enjoyable day out with a huge variety of competitions and entertainment to suit all ages. There is something for everyone: Wheel of Fortune, visit Santa in his grotto, coats & handbags stalls, bric-a-brac, cakes, toys, books, games, competitions, children’s entertainment, tea & cake, a signed and framed Limerick Jersey raffled on the day and lots, lots more. All proceeds will go towards the development of the school.

Murroe Boher Bord na nOg wish to advise that our AGM, will take place on Monday 03rd December at 8.00pm in Club Pavilion. Anyone interested in applying for a position on the committee, must do so in writing to the Secretary before Monday 26th November.

Murroe AFC Notes: Team News: The A team took on Geraldines of the Premier League last weekend in the 4th Round of the FAI Junior Cup and came out on the wrong side of a 4-1 scoreline. The B team and the C team had no fixtures last weekend. Check out our Facebook page for the latest fixtures and results.

Murroe AFC’s book “Murroe AFC The First 50 Years 1968-2018” is still available to purchase at Spar, and English’s. The book is a fabulous record of the story of the first 50 years of soccer in Murroe and is available at a price of €15. A great stocking filler!
