Jigsaw will make a Presentation on Anxiety in Teenagers on Monday 22nd October at 7.45pm.  This will take place at Scoil na Trionoide Naofa in Doon. Admission free and all are welcome.

Cappamore Historical Society will host a lecture entitled “A Guide to the Irish Economy” by Seamus Coffey, Lecturer in Economics at University College Cork and Chair of Irish Fiscal Advisory Council, on Monday October 22nd in Cappamore Community Centre at 7:30pm. All are welcome

Murroe Road Runners: Interested in going for a run with a group? The Murroe road runners are a friendly bunch that usually meet at the Murroe church on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 18:30. Sundays morning runs are usually a bit longer. Everyone is welcome from those starting out to those with a bit more experience. To find out more look up their Facebook page “Murroe Road Runners”

Date for your Diary: Sliabh Feilim Singers Annual Christmas concert will be held at 5pm on 2nd December in Abington Church, admission €10.  Given the homelessness crisis, this year we have decided to give proceeds to Focus Ireland.  We look forward to meeting you at our concert for an enjoyable evening of music and song.

CFR-Boher: we are holding free training in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of automated external defibrillator (AED) on Saturday, 17th November at 9.00.  We especially welcome those who are interested in becoming CFR-Boher volunteers or are members of sports clubs, though this is not required.  For further information please contact Ita Richardson at 087-6886536 or e-mail cfrboher@gmail.com.

Murroe/Boher Camogie Club: We will be holding our fundraising TABLE QUIZ on Friday 26th October at 8pm in The Valley Inn, Murroe, tables of 4 for €20. Great prizes and a raffle on the night promise to be a great night out, please come out and support our club. On November 12th we will hold our AGM at 8pm in Murroe Clubhouse. All our members and players and parents are asked to attend to assist in the running of our club. Best of luck to our minors who play Galbally in their final group game on Saturday at 5pm in Boher. Next Saturday (27th) the girls will play in a semi-final with fixture TBC – keep an eye on our Facebook page for fixtures. Next Saturday (27th) will also see our monthly clothes collection take place from 7.30 – 8pm in Murroe Clubhouse, any spare clothes donations greatly appreciated.

Murroe AFC Notes: There was a great trip for the U-12 boys and girls to the Aviva Stadium last weekend, along with a few more older clients. The match wasn’t hectic, but a good day out was had by all. Congratulations to Gráinne Regan who received her Ireland cap from John Delaney at half time in the match.

The Murroe AFC annual soccer draw will take place this year in November at the Valley Inn Murroe. Again, this year we are promoting the FAI draw which will give each participant 3 chances to win. There will be a National Draw, a Munster draw and all tickets sold locally by Murroe AFC will be entered into a local draw also (similar to the Christmas draw) There is an incredible prize fund including 4 cars 1 for each province, holidays, trips to soccer games, X-Boxes, mobile phones, vouchers, match tickets and many more. In addition to this the club will run a local draw also where all tickets bought for the National/Regional draw will be entered again for a super prize fund. Please support this, our main fundraiser for 2018 Tickets are €10 each with books of 5 for €50. With 4 Cars, trips to Champions league final, IPADS, IPODS, Mobile Phones Weekends away and much much more it is the draw to be in this year. Tickets are available from players and committee members.
