The Mid-West Branch of the Parkinson’s Association wish to thank all who contributed to their recent collection. Total raised was €735.18.

Concert in Murroe Church with Tommy Fleming will take place on Sunday 11th December. Tickets €30 on sale in Sacristy, Local Shops and Post Office. This concert is to continue the fundraising for repairs to Church windows.

GLENSTAL WALKERS: Now that the darkest time of the year is upon us, it is essential that all walkers entering the grounds of Glenstal Abbey should wear High Visibility Vests from now on. Without a vest, you cannot be seen and drivers should not be put in the position of endangering lives due to the carelessness of walkers.

Sr. Consilio Fitzgerald of Cuan Mhuire, Bruree will be holding her annual church gate collection in Murroe and Boher next weekend the 29th and 30th of October Any subscriptions will be greatly received in these hard times, not forgetting to  thank our loyal collectors over the years.

Poker Classic in aid of Cashel & Emly Lourdes Assisted Pilgrims Fund will take place in Kinnane’s Pub, Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary on Sunday the 30th of October at 8pm. Entry Fee €20.   For further information, Contact Tom Ryan 086-2120886. All support would be very much appreciated.

MURROE-BOHER ANNUAL: The deadline this year for the items for the 2016 Parish Annual is Friday, November 11 and all articles, organisation reports, photographs and advertising must be in by this date to facilitate printing in time for the holiday season. It would be preferable if all items were in to murroebook@gmail.com or John Egan, Fr Tom Ryan, Mary Finucane, Grainne Keayes, Dan Dinneen or Sean Hogg by the beginning of November, with the email address the preferable option. Any organisation that has not been already contacted by the committee and would wish to contribute is most welcome to do so, preferably as soon as possible. Also, as it is impossible for the advertising committee to call to all businesses in the area, please feel free to contact the committee by email should you wish to advertise and support the annual.

Boher Community Development Association: Boher Community Alert are holding a Coffee Morning to raise funds for Community Alert projects, on Sunday 23 October at 10.30.  Your support for this great initiative would be most welcome.

Murroe Boher Camogie: Hard luck to our u13 team who lost narrowly to Croagh/Kilfinny in the county semi-final last Sunday. This marks the end of the season for our u13s, our thanks to all the girls who trained hard over the past year and also to Colin and Deirdre who put in huge effort with the girls, we look forward to seeing the girls progressing up through the age groups in the coming years. Well done to our minors who defeated Patrickswell with an outstanding second half performance in the second round. The girls now take on Doon in Boher on Sunday at 12 noon in their last group game as they attempt to clinch top spot in the group. Please get out and support.

Murroe AFC Notes. Our annual soccer draw will take place this year at the end of October. This year we are promoting the FAI draw which will give each participant 3 chances to win. There will be a National Draw, a Munster draw and all tickets sold locally by Murroe AFC will be entered into a local draw also (similar to the Christmas draw) There is an incredible prize fund including 4 ford fiesta cars 1 for each province, holidays, trips to soccer games, X-Boxes, mobile phones, vouchers, match tickets and many more. In addition to this the club will run a local draw also where all tickets bought for the National/Regional draw will be entered again for a super prize fund. The National draw takes place on November 23rd at the Aviva Stadium and our local draw will be prior to this. The Clubs local draw with a prize fund of €1000 will take place the 1st week of November.
