Congratulations to Cathal Foley & Josh Mainoo, members of the Dooneen AC U14 Boys 4 x 200m Relay and Peter Ashe & Rian Horgan, members of Newport AC U13 Boys 4 x 200m Relay. Both teams came 4th in their respective finals at the Munster Juvenile Athletics Indoor Championships in Nenagh on Sunday 19th January

Ladies Football: Best of luck to our players Shauna Ryan, Charlotte Walsh, Alannagh Russell, Aimee O’Brien and Roisin O’Malley and our club chairperson and Limerick Ladies Football manager Donal Ryan as they play Carlow in the first round of the Lidl Division 4 league against Carlow in Carlow IT on Sunday. Best of luck to all!

Murroe Boher Community Games: Well done to all the young artists and model-makers who took part in the art, model-making and handwriting events last Saturday.  Congratulations also to everyone who participated in the round 1 of the draughts. The winning team of Will Ryan, Will Stockil, Josh Devlin, Emily Duff, William Keyes, Sarah Keyes and Sean Murphy will go forward to the next round.  If you are interested in taking part in other upcoming events check out the Community Games Facebook page. Well done to all who participated in Round 1 of the Limerick Community Games Primary School Quiz, in the Millennium Centre Caherconlish. There were 52 teams of 4 present, of which 17 teams went through to the Grand Final.  The team of Cillian Kinsella, Denis Madden, Peter Ashe & Tadhg McElligott qualified for the County Grand Final which will take place on 6th February in the Woodlands Hotel, Adare.

Murroe AFC Team News: Last weekend the C team had a great 4-1 win over Dromore Celtic in the league, well done lads! Also on Sunday afternoon the U-18 Youth Team had a mighty 4-1 win over Corbally Utd in the Ger Ryan Youth Cup.

This weekend on Sunday 26th January, the A team are at home against local rivals Cappamore Celtic at 11am in the Premier A Division O’Halloran Cup 1st Round. The B team, C team and Youth team have no fixtures.
