 Killinure Parents Council will be holding a church gate collection over the June bank holiday weekend to raise money for Killinure school.

 Afternoon Tea Dance in aid of Kilteely Hall takes place in Kilteely Hall, Kilteely, Co. Limerick on this Sunday, 27th of May from 3pm to 6pm. Music by Dermot Lyons. Tea and home baking served. Admission €5. All are Welcome to come dancing or just sit back, relax and enjoy the music.

Ballyhoura Rural Services is recruiting Community Support workers for the Murroe-Boher area (they are Community Employment Scheme positions). The ideal candidate should have a real interest in people, be a good communicator and be self-motivated. Own transport is essential. Positions available include roles which will involve visiting clients on a one-to-one basis in their homes. If you have been unemployed for over a year you are qualified to work on a Community Employment Scheme. Successful candidates must be Garda vetted, prior to commencing work. June Bank Holiday Weekend: The Boher Community Development Association Charity Cycle in memory of Ciara McCarthy, will take place on Friday evening, 1st June at 7.15pm.  The 40km Cycle will commence from Boher Community Centre and there will be various short cut options.  Registration will commence at 6.15pm.  Refreshments will be served after the Cycle.  Entry by donation.  All proceeds to Cliona’s Foundation. The Boher Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 3rd June at 1.30pm at the GAA grounds, Boher.  Activities commence with the children’s Fancy Dress Competition, followed by races and novelty races for children and adults.  Back by popular demand this year, our Fittest Family challenge, where teams of 4 battle it out in a series of tasks to see who can complete the course in the best time!  Teams comprise of 2 adults and 2 children up to 15 years of age.  Also new this year, is our community picnic patch, so why not bring along a picnic and relax and enjoy events.

Murroe Boher Bord na nOg would like to Congratulate Jack Nicholas on Captaining the Limerick Minor Hurlers on their victory over Tipperary last Sunday, and David Hickey who is also a member of the team, and we would like to send our best wishes to the lads for the remainder of the Championship. We would also offer best wishes to Seamus Hickey and the Limerick senior team for the remainder of the Championship. Last Sunday morning, we played Holycross Ballycahill in u12 Hurling match, and we also played Kilruane McDonaghs in U8 & U10  Hurling, we won all games, and we would like to thank all those who helped out on the morning, and especially Ken & Dave who fed such large numbers, and sent everyone away happy. It was a great morning for the club.

Murroe/Boher Camogie Club Well done to Ciara Oliver, Sophie Quaid, Orlaith Hickey and Sarah Jane Flynn who were part of the Ahane-Murroe/Boher who won the u14 A league final. The girls put in a great performance to bring home silverware.
