Results of the Diocesan and Parish Listening Process: The future of the church at parish and diocesan levels was the subject of the recent study. The results are published and ready for discussion. A meeting to do this will take place on this Monday 9th September in Muintir Na Tíre Hall, Murroe at 7.30 p.m. Your parish needs your participation.

Pro-Life – a big thank you to all who contributed to the recent Church gate collection in Murroe and Boher. A total of €513.80 was collected.

Milford Hospice Coffee Morning: Denis Holmes will hold a Coffee Morning in aid of Milford Hospice in their showrooms on Thursday 19th September 10am – 2pm. Everyone Welcome to this very worthy fundraiser.

Mulcair Men’s Shed annual Open Day, Sunday, 8th September, 2pm to 5:30pm. All welcome.

CPR: Would you know what to do if someone had a heart attack?  Now is your chance to find out! In collaboration with Boher Community First Responder, Irish Water Safety will hold 2 Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) CPR courses in Boher Community Centre on 21st September, 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm.  These courses are free to members of the community, with the option to register with PHECC (at a cost of €25). Murroe Boher Bord na nOg had a massive weekend last weekend. On Friday evening, we hosted our Annual Ryan Cusack u13 Hurling final. This year, we played Roscrea, from Tipperary in the final, and we ran out comfortable winners. This year’s captain was Tommy Cusack, Oisin Holmes was voted man of the match, also on the night, the Club recognized the Achievements of our Mackey Cup Winners, Darren Collopy captain, Cathal Sheridan and Oisin Holmes. We also, honoured Michael Ryan, on being part of the Limerick Minor team that won the Munster hurling championship this year. On Saturday morning, we hosted u6 blitz V Cappawhite from Tipperary, and we also played Cappawhite in our annual u8 Munster tournament. After 9 keenly contested games, we came out on top, winning the Munster u8 trophy for the 3rd year in a row. This year’s captain was Patrick Leahy.  All players were presented with medals and a BBQ was served to all, Congratulations to all concerned. In the afternoon, we hosted our Annual Jim Commons, u10 Hurling tournament, with 2 team from Galway and Ballina from Tipperary. After a festival of hurling, we came out on top in the final, again for the 3rd year in a row. Congratulations to Cillian Holmes, who was voted player of the tournament, and Nathan Rainsford who captained this year’s team. All players were treated to a BBQ after the medal presentations.  Congratulations to all players and coaches on what was a fantastic weekend for the Bord na nOg, The Bord na nOg, would also like to congratulate Euan Sheridan, Killian Quaid and Brian O’Keeffe, who all played with Limerick u15’s last weekend, and to Mark Nicholas , who played with Limerick U16’s.

Murroe Boher Camogie: ALL-IRELAND FINAL! Best of luck to Katie Heelan, Sinead McElligott and the Limerick junior team who play Kerry at 12noon in Croke Park in the All-Ireland final on Sunday (8th). The match will be shown live on RTE along with the intermediate and senior games so be sure to tune in if you can’t make it to Head Quarters. Well done to our intermediate team who defeated Croagh/Kilfinny last weekend to keep their hopes of qualifying for a semi-final alive. Hard luck to our U16s who lost to Crecora in their second round of championship, they play Doon next Thursday (12th) at home. Best of luck to Sophie Quaid who is playing with Cappamore U14s in the Cup Final on Tuesday (10th) in Monaleen. Well done to our U10s and U12s who continue to play blitzes and challenge games, it’s great to see our future stars continually improving.

Murroe AFC Notes: Team News: The C team lost out 4-1to Nenagh last Friday evening in the league, while the A team had a bad day losing out on a 6-2 scoreline against Fairview Rangers on Saturday last. The B team had a great win 2-0 against Hyde Rangers on Sunday last. Then on Tuesday last,  the Ladies had a great win in the semi-final of the junior cup on a 4-2 scoreline against near neighbours Cappamore Celtic.
