Concert in Murroe Church with Tommy Fleming will take place on Sunday 11th December. Tickets €30 on sale in Sacristy, Local Shops and Post Office and Pubs in Boher. This concert is to continue the fundraising for repairs to Church windows.

St Vincent DePaul will hold its Annual Chuch Gate Collection at all Masses in Murroe and Boher on the week-end of November 26/27. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Sliabh Feilim Singers and Friends annual Christmas Concert will be held at 5pm in Abington Church Murroe on 27th November. Join us to celebrate the season in song.  Funds this year will be given to a program for Special Needs Children in Haiti.  We look forward to seeing you there!

 MURROE-BOHER ANNUAL: The deadline this year for the items for the 2016 Parish Annual is Friday, November 11 and all articles, organisation reports, photographs and advertising must be in by this date to facilitate printing in time for the holiday season. It would be preferable if all items were in to murroebook@gmail.com or John Egan, Fr Tom Ryan, Mary Finucane, Grainne Keayes, Dan Dinneen or Sean Hogg by the beginning of November, with the email address the preferable option. Any organisation that has not been already contacted by the committee and would wish to contribute is most welcome to do so, preferably as soon as possible. Also, as it is impossible for the advertising committee to call to all businesses in the area, please feel free to contact the committee by email should you wish to advertise and support the annual.

 Boher Community Development Association: Progressive 45 every Friday night at Boher Community Centre, at 8pm.  All welcome to attend. Community First Responder, Boher requires new volunteers to cover 24 hours a month.  Those interested must be over 18 years and hold a clean driving licence.  Training will take place in early 2017 to Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.  If you are interested, contact Ita Richardson, cfrboher@gmail.com . Boher Christmas Market, Sunday 11 December, at 2pm.  Calling all craftspeople, artists, bakers, (young and not so young), and culinary experts.  Book a stall at Boher Community Centre by contacting Paudie Laffan 086 0785836 and show off/sell some of your creative delights.  There will be a small charge of €5 per stall.  Santa and Mrs Claus will also visit the Community Centre.

Boher Community Development Association will launch its 2017 Parish Calendar on Sunday night, 20 November, at O’Neill’s Bar.  The calendar includes a delightful selection of old and recent photographs reflecting the lives and achievements of the people of Boher and places of interest.  The back of the calendar features some Boher-related snippets from old newspapers and journals.   Cost €5.  All welcome to attend.

 Murroe Boher Camogie: Reminder that our AGM is on Friday 11th November in Murroe Clubhouse at 8pm. We encourage all parents, players and members to attend. We will be appointing a new committee so please consider helping out in our club and send nominations to secretary.murroeboher.limerick@camogie.ie. Our minors play their county quarter final next weekend (Sunday) with fixture TBC.

 Murroe Boher Bord GAA All roads lead to Croagh on Sunday at 12 noon when our Junior B hurlers take on Newcastle West in the county final. Your support is appreciated.

 Murroe AFC Notes. Our annual soccer draw will take place this year on Saturday 12th November at the Valley Inn Murroe. This year we are promoting the FAI draw which will give each participant 3 chances to win. There will be a National Draw, a Munster draw and all tickets sold locally by Murroe AFC will be entered into a local draw also (similar to the Christmas draw) There is an incredible prize fund including 4 ford fiesta cars 1 for each province, holidays, trips to soccer games, X-Boxes, mobile phones, vouchers, match tickets and many more. In addition to this the club will run a local draw also where all tickets bought for the National/Regional draw will be entered again for a super prize fund. The National draw takes place on November 23rd at the Aviva Stadium and our local draw will be prior to this. The Clubs local draw with a super prize fund of Cash, Ireland match tickets, Hampers and much more will take place on the 12th of November. Please support this, our main fundraiser for 2016. Tickets are €10 each with books of 5 for €50. With 4 Cars, trips to Copenhagen, IPADS, IPODS, Mobile Phones Weekends away and much much more it is the draw to be in this year.  3 chances to win with every ticket bought.
