Boher Parish Social will take place on Saturday 21 January, in the Millennium Centre, Caherconlish.  This social promises to be a very enjoyable night with music by Johnny Skehan, dancing and an auction of timber and a variety of surprise items held during the night to help raise funds for the upkeep of our Community Centre.  Committee members will visit all houses in the Parish over the next week, selling tickets for the event.  Tickets cost €10 each.  Donations of Spot prizes will be gratefully received by Committee members.

Murroe-Boher Historical Society will hold a table quiz on Friday next, 20th January in the Valley Inn, Murroe, beginning at 8.30 p.m. €20 for a table of four people. There will also be a raffle on the night. Donations of spot prizes gratefully accepted. As usual, a donation will be made to charity from the proceeds of the quiz.

Senior Set Dancing and Ceili Classes for fitness and fun will resume in the Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe on Wednesday 18th January at 8.15pm. Beginners welcome at all classes.

Kettlebells continues in Murroe Community Hall each week on Tues @ 6.45 and Saturdays @ 10am. Beginner classes commencing this week. Excellent for weight loss/toning/flexibility/mobility/strength. Call Noreen 087 0987355 Swing, Sweat and See Results!

Knockainey Historical & Cons. Society are pleased to launch the 2017 Lecture Series.  1st of 4 lectures begins with Kevin Myers – journalist, writer & historian.  “The Irish in the Great War focusing on mid county Limerick”. Murroe Boher Community Games: Art, model making and handwriting competition will be held on Sunday the 15th of January at 5:30pm in the Muintir na Tire hall Murroe. Entry fee €3. Please bring along pencil and colours. We look forward to seeing you.

The AGM of Murroe Boher GAA club will be held on Monday January 23rd in the clubhouse Murroe at 8.30pm. All members asked to attend
