Golden Jubilee Celebrations in Killinure N.S. The Board of Management of Killinure N.S. would like to extend an invitation to the Murroe-Boher community to join us on Saturday 10th June, from 2pm to 4pm as we celebrate fifty years of primary education. His Grace, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, will bless the school, officially open our new two-classroom extension and unveil a sculpture by local blacksmith Eric O’Neill at 2pm. We will also have our Commemorative book “Caoga Bliain ag Fás” on sale for €10. You are then invited to take a trip down memory lane and visit the classrooms where many old photographs will be on display.

Murroe-Boher Twinning will be hosting a Cake Sale on Sunday 11th June after both Masses in Murroe, straight across from the Church at the GAA hall. Please check out the array of baked goods, including some gluten-free …Variety of choice and price! We appreciate all of your support !!!

Boher Community Development Association will hold its annual Parish Fun Day on Sunday 11th June from 1.30pm at the GAA pitch, Boher. Activities will kick off with the children’s fancy dress competition followed by children’s races and novelty races for children and adults. There will also be a number of sideshows. This year we are introducing a “Fittest Family Challenge”! Teams of 4 can enter for the event comprising 2 adults – one male and one female – and two children under 15 years of age. All those who participated in the various events last year thoroughly enjoyed themselves and hopefully even more people will join in the fun this year. All members of our community are most welcome.

Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Next week sees our club host Hurl Smart Week yet again from the 5th to 10th June. The week promises to be action packed and fun filled for both children and adults. Adults and children are encouraged to grab a hurley and get involved in the activities which will incorporate the skills of camogie for the experienced and newcomer alike. Activities for varying age groups take place each evening in either Murroe or Boher pitches. Please check our Facebook page for the timetable and come along to what promises to be a fun week of camogie.

Murroe Boher Bord na nOg wish to advise everyone about our upcoming tournaments on Sunday 18th June in Harty Park Murroe. The day will begin at 10.00am with our U9’s competing for the Reale Cup, and this will be followed in the afternoon with our u11’s competing for the Rhona Kett Sheridan cup. Teams already confirmed for the tournaments are Ballina from Tipperary and St. Patrick’s, Ballyraggret from Kilkenny, with more teams to follow. BBQ food will be served as well as teas & Coffees, more details to follow in the coming weeks, please support.
