Collection for Parkinson’s: The Mid-West Branch of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland will hold a Church-Gate Collection at all masses in Murroe and Boher on the weekend of October 14/15, 2016. All support would be greatly appreciated.
Murroe Post Office will be closed on Tuesday next 10th October between 9am and 10.30am. This is to facilitate training for An Post New Smart Card. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be on display in Murroe Church on Friday next, 13th October. A Plenary Indulgence can be obtained by praying before the statue.

Wool Spinning Workshop: Learn to spin wool on a drop spindle and on a spinning wheel in this workshop, 10am to 5pm, Saturday 14th October 2017. Venue: Boher Community Centre, County Limerick. A Coffee Morning will be held in the Community Hall Murroe on this Sunday 8th October from 9.30am to 1pm. The purpose is to raise funds for Children’s Medical Research in Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children.

CFR Boher –are running CFR courses for the first group of volunteers to qualify in November 2015, whose certification will be out of date this November. Ita Richardson and Paul Earls will run two courses on Saturday 14th October 6-10pm, and on Sunday 15th October 9am-1pm. Members are required to do the full course training and examination again. Please contact Ita before 5th October identifying which date you can attend.

Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Hard luck to our U16 team who lost the plate final to a strong Bruff/Kilmallock team. The girls have put in a huge effort this year and many of them are now part of the minor panel whose championship campaign begins Sunday 22nd October. Thanks to the U16 management and players for all the time and effort put in during the league and championship campaign. This weekend sees the GAA and Camogie Club fundraising cycle with the 40km cycle taking place on Sunday at 12noon from Harty Park. Please support.
Murroe AFC Notes. Our annual soccer draw will take place this year in November at the Valley Inn Murroe. This year we are promoting the FAI draw which will give each participant 3 chances to win. There will be a National Draw, a Munster draw and all tickets sold locally by Murroe AFC will be entered into a local draw also (similar to the Christmas draw) There is an incredible prize fund including 4 ford fiesta cars 1 for each province, holidays, trips to soccer games, X-Boxes, mobile phones, vouchers, match tickets and many more. In addition to this the club will run a local draw also where all tickets bought for the National/Regional draw will be entered again for a super prize fund. The National draw takes place on November 22nd at the Aviva Stadium and our local draw will be prior to this. The Clubs local draw with a super prize fund of Cash, Ireland match tickets, Hampers and much more will take place on the 4th of November.
