On Behalf of Murroe Community Council we would like to thank everyone most sincerely for supporting our Strictly Come Dancing event which was held on 29th April in The South Court Hotel in aid of The Field Development Project. The total amount Raised was €47,400. This event would not have been as successful without our sponsors support, the dancers who spent long hours practicing, the hard-working Committee who made this event possible and the huge support on the night. Work has begun on the all-weather pitch and is due for completion in September, to follow on from this will be work on the Walkway, we have applied for funding to finish the Walkway and we are also in the process of applying for funding to build a Skate Park. Without fundraising events such as Strictly Come Dancing, the backing of sponsors and local community it would be impossible to get a project of this scale off the ground. So once again we thank you for your support and helping us to create this “Field of Dreams” in Murroe.
