Boher Community Development Association The upgrade work of our Community Centre was completed with the assistance of EU “Leader Funding” through Ballyhoura Development CLG. Along with the grant aid, the Community Development Association used its own funds to pay the remaining 25% of the project cost so the upgrade was completed debt-free without the need to obtain any external funding.
In order to replenish the Community Development Association funds to enable us to continue to run our community centre and in order to facilitate future enhancements to be made to our community hub, our Finance Project Team has decided to run a 5-month confined draw from July to November 2019 with a contribution of €20 per month (making a total contribution of €100 per draw participant). There will be generous cash prizes each month with a bonus draw at the end for all participants who have paid the total contribution of €100. Members of the Community Development Association will call with a leaflet to every house in the area seeking your inclusion in the draw. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in supporting this fund-raising venture.
Boher Community Development Association will hold its annual Parish Fun Day this Sunday, 23rd June, from 1.30pm at the GAA pitch, Boher. Activities will kick off with the children’s fancy dress competition followed by children’s races and novelty races for children and adults. The “Fittest Family Challenge” returns where Teams of 4 can enter for the event comprising 2 adults and two children under 15 years of age. All those who participated in the various events last year thoroughly enjoyed themselves and hopefully even more people will join in the fun this year. All members of our community are most welcome.
