The calendar includes a delightful selection of old and recent photographs reflecting the lives and achievements of the people of Boher and places of interest. Murroe Boher Camogie: Hard luck to our u13 team who lost narrowly to Croagh/Kilfinny in the county semi-final last Sunday. This marks the end of the season for our u13s, our thanks to all the girls who trained hard over the past year and also to Colin and Deirdre who put in huge effort with the girls, we look forward to seeing the girls progressing up through the age groups in the coming years. Well done to our minors who defeated Patrickswell with an outstanding second half performance in the second round. Members who may be interested in the course on basket weaving, Hannah our tutor will be speaking to us by my phone on speaker at 9pm Wed at the Shed to make arrangements, and answer questions. The course is 20 hours that can be divided into 2 hour stints or 2.1/2 hour or 3hour. for our pieces to be completed by December. we need to decide on the best times for us all. Also Kevin has been speaking to Seamus Gleeson Newport about us helping out in their Christmas fare. The Mulcair Pals initiative is gaining much interest.

MURROE-BOHER ANNUAL: The deadline this year for the items for the 2016 Parish Annual is Friday, November 11 and all articles, organisation reports, photographs and advertising must be in by this date to facilitate printing in time for the holiday season. It would be preferable if all items were in to murroebook@gmail.com or John Egan, Fr Tom Ryan, Mary Finucane, Grainne Keayes, Dan Dinneen or Sean Hogg by the beginning of November, with the email address the preferable option. Any organisation that has not been already contacted by the committee and would wish to contribute is most welcome to do so, preferably as soon as possible. Also, as it is impossible for the advertising committee to call to all businesses in the area, please feel free to contact the committee by email should you wish to advertise and support the annual.

Boher Community Development Association: Boher Community Alert are holding a Coffee Morning to raise funds for Community Alert projects, on Sunday 23 October at 10.30am. Murroe Boher Camogie: Camogie double header!! Our U13 and minor teams both take to Boher pitch on Sunday morning at 11am & 12 noon. The U13 team play Croagh/Kilfinny at 11am in the county semi-final while our minor follow them at 12 noon in the second round of the championship against Patrickswell. It would be great to see lots of home support for both our teams. Best of luck girls.
Murroe AFC Notes. New Club Draw. The club has decided to completely revamp our annual draw which usually takes place at Christmas. This year we are promoting the FAI draw which will give each participant 3 chances to win. There will be a National Draw, a Munster draw and all tickets sold locally by Murroe AFC will be entered into a local draw also (similar to the Christmas draw) There is an incredible prize fund including 4 ford fiesta cars 1 for each province, holidays, trips to soccer games, X-Boxes, mobile phones, vouchers, match tickets and many more. In addition to this the club will run a local draw also where all tickets bought for the National/Regional draw will be entered again for a super prize fund. The National draw takes place on November 23rd at the Aviva Stadium and our local draw will be prior to this. Tickets cost €10 each and are available from players and committee members. The 2016 Limerick Forest Rally is taking place this weekend, with Murroe village acting as the event base.
The official rally ceremonial starts tomorrow (Sunday) at 10am at the Muintir na Tire Hall but cars will be arriving for scrutiny at Croker’s car park this afternoon.

15:00 – Scrutiny Opens (Crokers Car Park). Cars will start to enter Parc Feirme in Glenstal Car Par from approx. 15:20 to 19:30.
19:00 – Scrutiny finishes

10:00 – Rally ceremonial starts (Hall)
10:40 – First Car will leave Parc Feirme
10:45 – First Car will stop at arch outside Crokers for a quick interview.
11:45 approx. – Last car will leave Parc Feirme
