Sliabh Feilim Singers would like to thank everyone who supported them in their recent Christmas Concert held in Abington Church Murroe.

We particularly would like to thank  the Friends of Abington Church for making such a beautiful venue available to us and our guest performers for giving of their time.

We raised €1248 for Milford Hospice.

Sliabh Feilim Singers annual Christmas concert will be held in Abington Church at 5pm on Sunday 3rd December.

We have many special guests joining with us to celebrate the season of Christmas and look forward to seeing you there.

  This year, proceeds will go to Milford Hospice.

All are Welcome   Admission €10.

The Mulcair Men’s Shed Male Voice Choir meet and greet

The Mulcair Men’s Shed Male Voice Choir will be having an initial meet and greet in the new Newport Town A.F.C. clubhouse at Derryleigh Park, Newport at 7pm on Sunday the 3rd September. Any man wishing to join this choir is welcome to come along on the evening and be involved in starting this great new adventure for the Men’s Shed. Non-members of Mulcair Men’s Shed will need to join, but annual membership is only €10. If you have any questions about the choir, please contact Willie O’Neill on 086-302-7413.

Boher Community Development Association is holding its Annual Charity Cycle on Saturday 3 June

Boher Community Development Association is holding its Annual Charity Cycle on Saturday 3 June, in aid of Cliona’s Foundation in memory of Ciara McCarthy and The Jack and Gill Children’s Foundation, in memory of Rhona Kett Sheridan, commencing at 7pm at Boher Community Centre.  The full cycle loop is 40km for the experienced cyclist, but for the less practiced there are plenty of shortcut routes, which makes it suitable for all fitness levels and ages! There will be refreshments for all participants after the cycle. Entry fee for the cycle is a donation of your choice at registration. Registration for the event will start at 6.15pm.
