Mulcair Men’s Shed had a recent visit to the ECO village of Cloughjordan on Sunday 25th September
This was there itinerary for the day :
10:00 AM arrival, welcome
10:15 AM presentation on the Ecovillage project
10:45 AM tour of the Ecovillage – including green building, district heating
11:30 AM Bees and beekeeping
12:15 PM Tour of the FabLab/Demonstration – digital manufacturing and making
1:00 PM local lunch with produce from the community farm, RED gardens and wood fired bakery
2:00 PM Biodiversity walk/Plant identification
3:00 PM Different types of growing methods in the RED Gardens
4:00 PM Tea break
4:20 PM Walk to the Heritage Centre
4:30 PM Presentation and tour – Thomas MacDonagh (donations appreciated)
5:30 PM Departure from Main Street, coffee/tea available at Sheela na Gig bookshop
