Divine Mercy Sunday is on Sunday next 8th April. Ceremonies on the day commence at 2.30pm and will include Mass. A novena for Divine Mercy has commenced since Good Friday. Details may be found in Murroe Church Porch.

Church Windows Fundraising: Jimmy Buckley concert takes place on Sunday April 29th. Some Tickets are available for this. A lot of work has had to be done in both Church’s recently, so any funds raised will be gratefully received.

Cake Sale – Murroe Boher Camogie Club will hold a fundraising cake sale on Easter Sunday at 10.30am in Boher Community Centre and 12 noon in Murroe GAA Clubhouse. Please support our club and enjoy the tasty treats our members have baked!

Childminder required to look after 3 school going children aged 8,9 and 10 years of age on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in children’s own home in the Murroe area.  Must have own car. Please contact 086 054 5515 for more information.

Abington Church: The friends of Abington Church are holding an evening of music and song on Friday April 6th at 8pm. In the church. This features two groups, “The Ukealadies” and “Zion”. Proceeds are in aid of the Eldorado Textile Project in San Paulo, Brazil with which a local volunteer, and member of the Church, is involved. This is a community project in a deprived area which depends on voluntary donations to continue. Admission €10. For details Tel.087-2964287.

#DiL2018: Registration for the Pieta House Darkness into Light has opened. For Murroe registration please go to:   The route will be from the Muintir na Tíre Hall in Murroe, left at The Monument, in the back gate of Glenstal Abbey and out the front gates back to the hall. We plan to have refreshments for all walkers and look forward to seeing you there on the morning.  Please register as soon as possible – Early bird registration ends 4th April. If you register by 4th May, 10th Anniversary t-shirts will be delivered to you directly, with no guarantee of you getting your t-shirt on time if you register after that date. The Valley Golf Society, “Outing kindly Sponsored by The Valley Inn”, held its first outing of 2018 at Roscrea golf club. The results are as follows, 1st: Tom Ryan, Declan Barry, Joe Cunningham, Declan Kett.   2nd: Bill Dunlea, Kieran Kett, Seamus Lynch, Liam Ryan. 3rd: Darragh Ryan, Jim Dunlea, Adam Newman, Brian Quinn. Next outing will be held at Dundrum Golf Club on the 21/04/2018 at 11 AM.

Murroe AFC Notes: A brief update on our 50th anniversary Dinner Dance. Tickets are now available from any committee member for the clubs 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance in the Castletroy Park Hotel on Friday May 4th at 7-30pm. A great night celebrating the clubs 1st 50 years with music by local band TRAFFIC and DJ till late. Murroe/Boher Camogie Club Best of luck to our U16 and intermediate teams who start their seasons this weekend. On Friday our U16 team lined out against Galbally to kick off their league. On Sunday our Intermediate team will play Patrickswell at 6pm in Boher in the first round of the league. Please come out and support our girls. Best of luck also to Katie Heelan, Karen Cunningham, Megan Kiely, Sinead McElligott and Edel Cunningham who are part of the Limerick minor team who played Offaly in their final game of the All Ireland series on Saturday. Best of luck to all our girls in all their games.
