Church Windows Fundraising: Jimmy Buckley concert has had to be postponed due to the bad weather. It is re-scheduled for Sunday April 29th. Tickets will remain valid for that date.

Coffee Morning for Cancer Research at Madaboy House (close to Abington Creamery) will take place this year on Saturday 21st April from 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.   Please consider supporting this worthy cause in an effort to fund new and innovative breakthrough therapies and treatments for many types of cancer. Slieve Felim Energy Communities: An information meeting will be held in Cappamore Community Centre on Wednesday 28th March @ 8pm.  This meeting will explain about 2018 SEAI home upgrade grants scheme which will start shortly. This scheme covers all of the East Limerick area. Works: Attic/wall insulation, heating systems, windows and doors. Warmer more comfortable homes guaranteed.

The Killinure Parents Council would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in the community who came and supported our 80’s Table Quiz on Friday 9th of March and then went home afterwards with sore feet from all the dancing to the fantastic music provided by Paul Prenderville (Live95FM).  Following the Quiz, we had a raffle of the most wonderful spot prizes which were donated by exceptionally generous sponsors. Last – but certainly not least – thank you so much to the amazing Pa McGrath’s pub for hosting the Quiz.  Amy and Denis could not have been more helpful. Roll on next year!!!!!!

#DiL2018: Registration for the Pieta House Darkness into Light has opened. For Murroe registration please go to:   The route will be from the Muintir na Tíre Hall in Murroe, left at The Monument, in the back gate of Glenstal Abbey and out the front gates back to the hall. We plan to have refreshments for all walkers and look forward to seeing you there on the morning.  Please register as soon as possible – Early bird registration ends 4th April. If you register by 4th May, 10th Anniversary t-shirts will be delivered to you directly, with no guarantee of you getting your t-shirt on time if you register after that date. Boher Community Development Association will participate again in the JP McManus Team Limerick Clean Up initiative. Large numbers of our community have participated every year in this event to gather bags of litter around Boher.  We hope you will join us again on Good Friday, 30 March, at 9am, at Boher Community Centre.

Bord na nOg: Murroe Boher Bord na nOg are having their annual Bag Packing Fundraiser in Dunnes Stores on Childers Road on Friday 30th March and Saturday 31st of March. We are looking for volunteers to help us with is vital fundraiser. This money is for the day to day expenses of the Bord na nOg. Please contact any team coach of committee member to lend your support.

Murroe/Boher Camogie Club Best of luck to Ciara Oliver, Sarah Jane Flynn, Orlaith Hickey and Sophie Quaid who are part of the Ahane-Murroe/Boher team taking part in the Limerick Feile competition this weekend. The Semi Finals and Finals take place on Sunday from 10am in Ballyagran. Next weekend sees the start of our club season with our u16 team playing on Friday at home and our intermediate team also lining out at home on Easter Sunday. Please check our Facebook page for fixtures. Next weekend we will be holding a fundraising cake sale on Easter Sunday at 10.30am in Boher Community Centre and 12noon in Murroe Clubhouse. Please support our club. Next Saturday (31st) sees our monthly clothes collection take place from 7.-30 – 8pm in Murroe Clubhouse, if you have any old clothes please consider donating them to our club.
