‘Let’s Talk Family: Let’s Be Family’: Cardinal Christoph Schonborn, who is Archbishop of Vienna, and was chosen by Pope Francis to present Amoris Laetitia – the papacy’s letter on the ‘family’ – is to address a conference at Mary Immaculate College on July 13th entitled ‘Let’s Talk Family: Let’s Be Family’. The Conference is a key moment in the build up to the World Meeting of Families 2018. All are welcome to this conference and there is also a public lecture that evening – it all takes place on Thursday 13th July. Murroe-Boher Community Games: There was a fantastic turn-out at the County Athletics Finals in Mungret with great attendance from Murroe-Boher bringing home plenty of medals over the weekend.  The U12s relay came 3rd overall, team of Grace Ross, Clara Noonan, Gemma Ryan, Siobhan Cooke and Ellie O Connor.  The U9 multi event girls came 3rd Kerrie Moroney, Kate O Connor, Aideen Kinsella, Aimee Cusack and Lauren Cusack.  The U9 boys multi event came 4th, Peter Ashe, Cillian Holmes, Joseph O Brien, George Crowe and Rian Horgan.  In the individual girls events Gemma Ryan U12 came 3rd in 600m and Laura Flynn came 4th in the U12 Ball Throw.  Siobhan Cooke U12 100m got through to semi-finals. In the boys individual events Mike Carmody U14 800m, just missed out on a medal sprinting the last 100metres.  Oisín Holmes U12 600 qualified for finals.  Jamie Long U12 100m got through to semi-finals.  Ben Ross U10 100m got through to finals.  Peter Ashe U10 100m got through to semi-finals.  Well done to all those who participated.  A big ‘Thank You’ to Noreen O’ Brien & Greg Ashe for their invaluable help.

Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Best of luck to Hazel Hourigan and Megan Kiely who will tog out with the county U16 team who play Kilkenny in Ballybrown (New Field) on Sunday (2nd July) at 2.30pm in the first round of the All Ireland Championship. Best of luck girls. Best of luck also to our U8s who travel to Crecora for the second of their cluster blitzes on Saturday (July 1st) at 11am, where they will play games against Ahane, Blackrock/Effin and Crecora.
