Murroe-Boher Historical Society is pleased to host a talk by Dr. Margaret O’Brien on the subject of “The History of Irish Traditional Medicine, Local Cures and Stories.” Margaret holds a PhD in bio-chemistry from NUIG and fully qualified herbalist with a special interest in old remedies. The talk will be held at the Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe, on Thursday, November 9, at 8.30 p.m. sharp. Admission €5 to non-members (includes refreshments).

Boher Christmas Market, Sunday 10 December, at 2pm. Calling all craftspeople, artists, bakers, (young and not so young), and culinary experts. Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Best of luck to our minor team who play Blackrock/Effin in the county semi-final on Sunday at 2pm in Boher.
