 Murroe Marian Club, Senior Citizens, will hold a Monster 45 Drive in the Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe, on Tuesday 14th November at 8pm sharp. Spot prizes galore! Teas will be served. Admission €6.

 St. Mary’s TY Students, Newport proudly present “The Winner Takes It All” based on the musical “Mama Mia” at Newport Community centre, November 15th, 16th, 17th at 8pm. Tickets on sale in St Mary’s School and Sweeney’s Shop Newport.

 Sr’s. Consilio & Agnes Fitzgerald of Cuan Mhuire, Bruree, would sincerely like to thank the parishioners of Murroe and Boher and surrounding areas for their very generous contribution of €616.34 in our recent church gate collection. It is much appreciated in these hard times. To our loyal collectors we would like to extend a sincere thank you who year after year stand out in all kinds of weather for this worthy cause. Without them we would not be able to continue, so thanks again to everyone who helped out and contributed.

 Murroe-Boher Historical Society is pleased to host a talk by Dr. Margaret O’Brien on the subject of “The History of Irish Traditional Medicine, Local Cures and Stories.” Margaret holds a PhD in bio-chemistry from NUIG and fully qualified herbalist with a special interest in old remedies. The talk will be held at the Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe, on Thursday, November 9, at 8.30 p.m. sharp. Admission €5 to non-members (includes refreshments).

 Social Dance in Millennium Centre Caherconlish, on Saturday 11th November. Music by Teddy & Cathal Barry. Tea Served. Admission €10. Great night guaranteed.

 Boher Community Development Association will make a presentation at Boher Community Centre, to the Autistic Spectrum Disorders Unit in Killinure N.S. on Wednesday next, 8th November at 8pm.  All welcome to attend.

 Boher Christmas Market, Sunday 10 December, at 2pm.  Calling all craftspeople, artists, bakers, (young and not so young), and culinary experts.  Book a stall at Boher Community Centre by contacting Paudie Laffan 086 0785836 and show off/sell some of your creative delights.  There will be a small charge of €5 per stall.  Santa and Mrs Claus will also visit the Community Centre.

 Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Best of luck to our minor team who play Blackrock/Effin in the county semi-final on Sunday at 2pm in Boher. Please come down to support the girls as they aim to make the county final. Our club AGM will take place on Friday 17th November at 8.30pm in Pa McGrath’s, Boher. All parents, players and members are encouraged to attend.
