A Listening Process Gathering of Parishes to discuss priorities for parishes of our diocese and plan for 2020 will take place on Wed 30th Oct @ 7.30pm at The Millennium Centre, Caherconlish for the Parishes of Murroe & Boher, Ballina & Boher, Ballinahinch & Killoscully, Ballybricken & Bohermore, Caherconlish & Inch St. Laurence, Cappamore, Doon, Kilcommon, Hollyford & Rearcross and Newport, Birdhill & Toor. All are welcome to participate.

Denis & Margaret Holmes would like to thank everyone who supported their recent coffee morning in aid of Milford Care Centre and to all those who helped out in any way. The amount raised was €1,810 which has been presented to Milford.

Newport Dram Group presents “One Man Two Guvnors” – a farcical comedy by Richard Bean, in Newport Community Centre on 25th/ 26th October and 1st/2nd/3rd November at 8pm.

Murroe Boher Bord na nOg, would like to congratulate our Minor team for winning the City/East Minor A championship final last Saturday afternoon in Cappamore, and wish them success in the county semi-final this weekend. We would also like to remind everyone that our annual Church gate collection will take place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October

Murroe Boher Camogie: Well done to our minor team who won their first game of the championship against Tournafulla last weekend. Next up they will face Adare on October 27th in Adare. Our thanks to everyone who came out on Friday night to support our fund-raising table quiz. It was a great night and a great success, thanks to all our supporters. Next Saturday (26th) we will hold our monthly clothes collection from 7.30 – 8pm in Murroe Clubhouse. All donations greatly appreciated.

Murroe AFC Notes: Team news: On Sunday last the youth (U-18) team had a fine 6-3 win over Aisling Annacotty in the League.

Fixtures: This coming weekend the A team take on Holycross in Tubber at 10:30am on Sunday, while the Youth Team is in Munster Youth Cup Action where they face Kilfrush, also in Tubber at 2pm. The Men’s B, and C teams have no fixtures. Keep an eye on the club Facebook page and Twitter feeds for up to the minute fixtures and results!

Coach still needed for the U-9 Boys, (born 2011). If you’re interested in taking on a fun bunch of guys, maybe a parent or a past player who wants to help out, contact any committee member, or message on Facebook or Twitter, or email The club will be able to help out with Training, Gear, etc, but need someone to volunteer.
