Coffee Morning for Cancer: Reminder for your diary: Coffee Morning at Madaboy House will take place this year on Saturday 6th May from 10.30 to 1.00. The focus of fundraising again is Cancer Research. Watch this space for future reminders closer to the date. This year will see the inclusion of a musical interlude to delight guests.

Murroe-Boher Historical Society: The last of our talks for this season will be hosted by Murroe-Boher Historical Society on Thursday, April 20, at 8.30 p.m. sharp at the Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe. The talk by Gráinne Keays is entitled, “The Frend Family of Lacrough House: The Story of a Boher Family.” Admission to non-member is €5 (includes refreshments). All welcome
Milford Hospice Memorial Walk: The Milford Hospice 5km Memorial Walk will take place on Sunday, May 28th at the University of Limerick with a start time of 12.00 noon. This event is suitable for those of all levels of fitness and ability and the Centre’s organisers are asking anyone who wishes to take part to register for the event as soon as possible. There will be no entry fee, but the organisers are encouraging people to seek sponsorship for the lunchtime walk or else make a donation. The walk will commence at the University of Limerick Sports Arena and will finish on the grounds of Milford Care Centre. Participants will have the opportunity to place a hand-written tribute on colourful ribbon that will adorn the special memorial tree on the grounds of Milford. A special Memorial Pin will also be presented to each participant. Refreshments will be available after this memorial occasion. Murroe-Boher Community Games: Murroe-Boher were well represented at the Limerick Community Games Cross-Country Finals at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Saturday 8th April 2017, in glorious sunshine generally not associated with cross-country running! Well done to all who took part and congratulations to all our medallists. Murroe Boher Camogie Club: Best of luck to our U16 team who play Crecora at 6.30pm in Boher on Friday in their last group game of the league. Our senior team will be out on Monday with fixture TBC. Last Saturday saw the camogie club’s dog come in 3rd position in the Con and Annie Kirby Derby at Limerick Greyhound Stadium. This was a great night for all involved and our thanks to Limerick GAA for organising the event.
Murroe AFC: We are delighted to announce that the FAI summer soccer schools are now open for bookings Murroe AFC’s camp will take place this year from July 17th – July 21st. The camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of 6-14, each child will get a full playing kit, backpack, football and certificate of completion and the camp starts at 10.30am each day and finishes at 3pm.
