The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire Murroe invites expressions of interest from members of the community who are interested in serving on the Board of Management. Those interested should possess skills complementary to the Board’s skill requirements and be interested in education and its promotion, but not be parents of children attending the school. A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school is a requirement. Boards of Management depend on a strong tradition of volunteerism and civic contribution and we encourage anyone who feels they can contribute to our school to consider putting their name forward. Expressions of interest may be made by phone to 061 386116 or by email to murroestaff@gmail.com before the 27th November. Breda White, Chairperson (on behalf of the Board)

A huge thanks to everyone who supported me on my recent fundraising for the Hope Foundation Kolkata (Calcutta) Appeal. There has been overwhelming positive response from the local Murroe Boher community, and I have nearly reached my target of €3,500, that I needed to raise. The funds are going directly to the Hope Foundation and I will visit Kolkata with HOPE next Easter. I would like to thank Fr. Tom and Fr Lottie for the opportunity to speak at the weekend masses and to Willie Carey for coordinating this wonderful appeal. To the people of Murroe Boher, I wish to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your wonderful support. I could not have done this fundraising without you. Thank you all so much.
